hii! welcome to my site T_T
i made this site on january 17th, 2024 because i got inspired by all the cool websites i've seen on neocities, but i deactivated it because i had no idea how to create pages and make my website. after i deleted my site, i began commenting on guestbooks and chatboxes under the name "anon @_@".. I hope you recognize me from somewhere!! after that, i reactivated my site on august 24th.
i've coded on scratch for school before. i've also made carrds and rentries and been on spacehey. my goal is to learn how to code a website from scratch..
inspirations: swirl, nyaa, velvetblue, bugkisser, sugarangel, drizzle, burgeritchi, miserabledolly, nyanfiles, sugarfantasies, iwishyouroses, philia995, roboticoperatingbuddy, goooby, graybox, lunamilk, shoujolove (formerly cremerie), lilithofearth (their site isn't used anymore :( ), moekkis, kiririn42, and much more! I'm not even going to try adding every site I'm inspired by because every website i look at holds an extension of the webmaster :D every site i follow inspires me in one way or another!!
11/11: hmm. idk what to do with my website now. i'll just work on my media log!! i've been thinking about making it a lot anyway. i don't make new pages easily though :P
11/1: it's november!! christmas is near!! i can't wait!! thanksgiving comes first though!!
10/24: my homepage is done, but i'm just trying to clean my code up. -_- i keep forgetting to write in this update log because on neocities, it shows when i last updated my website. i'm going to put all thesse updates in iframes again
9/9: i haven't logged any updates here in 2 months.
7/07: I am overthinking this. it's 7/07 today and I woke up at 7:07 am. my website has 210 followers, and 210 is a multiple of 7. it has

7 updates. I'm overthinking this because I've been watching nana...and I left off on episode 2
7. I've also been learning CSS too. I ACTUALLY have motivation to learn it properly. I've brainwashed myself into thinking that coding was hard, but it actually isn't -- it took me a week to learn html..I think. maybe. I was learning it over time while updating my website anyway. I NEED to make a blog or diary page. this isn't even an update. it's the first page in my internet diary.
7/1: it's the first of the month! I'm going to remove my css from the homepage because I'm ACTUALLY learning CSS now. yay!!
6/30: I am NOT doing RSS anymore. I'll just stick to putting updates here!! I joined a lot of cliques.. I just need to complete my site!!

rss feed...
5/30: it's been A MONTH AND 4 DAYS?? time flies by so fast!! I have finals on june 3, 4, and 5, and I have this vocabulary assignment I have to do! it's due next wednesday, so I can just relax -D- I'm making an RSS feed for my website instead of a separate page for my updates..
4/26: how do i have 126 followers now? my site isn't even finished (w´ω｀w) i'm still trying to code different pages..going to add buttons to the index
4/24: i need to focus on my essay instead of updating this website! anyway, i finished the links page...i didn't make a layout for it though. edit: i finished my essay AND added a status.cafe widget AND added my about me page! it's not finished yet...YET!
4/23: i wanted more people to feed my tamanotchi, so i added my child to my index
4/21: the pope died today... i won't be updating my site for a while because i'm making a new version of my site -o- in the mean time i'm still learning html...i can do this if i just BELIEVE IN MYSELF! *focus* *lock in*
4/16: 100 followers!! HOW??? uhh..i updated the blog, archive, and links page...
4/15: i changed the title yesterday (i think).. i also made scrollbars for "about the site" and "updates"
4/14: i tried making the site's text "Mali" font, but it isn't working..i have to study for a test anyway
4/13: i tried to make folders for my site pages but i FAILED! i also tried fixing the custom cursor. i'm on a tablet so idk if it works.
4/7: i added a text area where you could copy the code for my button!! :D

3/29/2025: site reactivated!! i'm working on it now!!

More info about my site: I named this "vanillamilkshake" because I didn't know what to name my website. I thought of vanillamilkshake because I liked vanilla milkshakes. I think I had a vanilla milkshake shortly before I named my website ;) I made this site sakura miku themed because I took this quiz on theotaku.com about which miku I am, and I got sakura miku as a result. I knew about hatsune miku, of course, but I didn't know that she had different designs like that. tbh, I don't listen to vocaloid songs or know a lot about miku aside from basic info about her. I like the vocaloid songs I HAVE listened to though. anyway, I also made my website theme because pink is my favorite color (I'm wearing a pink shirt as I'm writing this) and sakura blossoms are some of my favorite flowers ^_^
